Listen to me when I say Renee Ahdieh is a master of writing romance fantasy. This book makes me swoon so much! It is very romantic, with forbidden and dangerous love at its core. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Marcelline Béatrice Rousseau is a girl moving from France to New Orleans, in there she gets pulled into a world of upper class society, but this society has secrets, and it is a dangerous one… ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I love the intrigue on this one, it is not merely focused on romance but also how societal standard can be totally discriminating, especially towards marginalized people. The plot itself not only stands on the romance between two characters, but also murders (there are more than one, yes), and Celine is determined to uncover the killer. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ And Bastien. The prince of Courts of Lions, the Lion himself. Charming but dangerous, witty but also annoying. That’s Sebastien Saint Germain for you. And as murdrr happens and he and Celine starts ~catching feelings~ danger drift closer. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ If forbidden romance with murder mystery is your jam, then I strongly recommend this book for you! ⁣⁣ ⁣ p.s: also, Odette Valmont is now officially added as my book girlfriendTM⁣ ⁣⁣ #thebeautiful ⁣⁣ #reneeahdieh ⁣⁣ #whatfarahreads ⁣⁣
